Important Hidden Valley Golf Club Improvements Update

Hidden Valley Golf Club continues to move forward with meaningful operational and on-course improvements and we are excited to share meaningful updates with you!
This week, the HVL POA Board approved the purchase of the remaining three pieces of equipment outlined in our 2026 improvement plan, along with approval to enter into the operating lease for the full equipment package outlined in our improvement plans. This action followed a detailed financial review and recommendation from the POA Finance Committee and club leadership.
New Equipment for 2026
Set to arrive Mid-March

- New Chemical and Fertilizer Sprayer

- New Rough Mowing Unit
These pieces immediately address two of our more impactful issues from the previous season
Set to arrive end of April, early May

- New Triplex Unit for tees, approaches and green collars

- New Aerifier Unit – targeting improved turf health on our most important areas of the course

- New Zero-Turn Unit, becoming a more reliable last line of defense for maintaining height of cut in roughs and surrounding areas.
These investments are focused on:

- Improving course conditioning consistency

- Reducing downtime caused by aging equipment
-
- Protecting long-term maintenance standards
In addition to equipment modernization, current improvement initiatives include:

- Happening Today: Tree pruning on Holes 10 and 18 to improve playability and turf health, with additional work planned on Holes 2 and 7

- Strategic use of growth blankets on Greens 10 and 11 to accelerate early-season turf development

- Phased irrigation upgrades around greens using Rain Bird sprinkler heads, prioritizing high-impact areas first with complete installation around greens set to be completed throughout 2026.

- Over the past year, the club has emphasized disciplined financial planning, stabilized membership projections, and aligned capital improvements with realistic long-term growth assumptions. These recent approvals from the HVL POA Board reflect confidence in that direction.
